Whats wrong with my security flood light on my house?

Hi all, just installed a standard dual bright heath zenith flood light that lights up when motion is detcted, the problem is when motion is detected it takes a few seconds and it gradually illuminates until it reaches full brightness. I have 3 other models exactly the same and they all light up instantly to full brightness when motion is detected, with no lag – anyone any idea what the problem is? Maybe i need to recheck the wiring? thanks.
I did notice that when i flick the switch on the wall to “on” it lights up instantly though but when its on auto it takes the time to light up..

I think you should return the fixture after you check the wiring.I’ve never seen or heard of one that turns on slowly. Unless it’s a new model that doesn’t want to startle any intruders to badly? Good Luck
